About Us and Our Mission

Mental health plays a crucial role in how we navigate daily challenges, build relationships, and pursue our goals.

Growing up we are faced with many challenges.

I often gravitated towards music to help steer myself through life’s obstacles.

That can not be stated enough. Just the energy of guitars, bass and drums was pulsating; a jolt of energy making a young person feel 7 ft tall and super strong even though they weren’t any of those things.

So the question was how can we translate this feeling of energy into something we can all wear? Like a symbol to represent strength and a never give up attitude. So when you see the image you can almost hear the power of the music.

That is where RIFFKOR came to be.

RIFFKOR is about bringing forth emotions in such a way that can inspire strength, courage and determination. Especially in the face of adversity.

We feel everyone has the potential to be and do great things. To be the best version of themselves.

Through promoting physical activity and good health, we wish to transform negativity and suffering into positive energy, by facing and overcoming personal challenges.

OUR COMMITMENT TO IMPROVING MENTAL HEALTH

RIFFKOR is committed to improving lives. The statistics surrounding poor mental health are staggering. Globally, mental health conditions are widespread, with one in eight people struggling with some type of mental disorder. With anxiety and depression being the most common.

Many struggle because several pieces of themselves are either broken or missing inside. RIFFKOR is committed to helping EVERYONE find, build and re-build these missing pieces. This is what we mean when we say INNER STRENGTH. It is there. We all have it. And together we will be stronger. Our products are more than just gear. They are tools for mindfulness and empowerment.

Proceeds from the sale of the items will be donated to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA).

Part of our mission is to also help remove the stigma surrounding mental health. It takes considerable amount of strength and courage to reach out to someone to talk to. It does not make a person weak. Take the time out to call and speak to someone. If you do not have anyone to go to or feel you are alone, help is still available.
